SMART Technology in practice!
Phonics-
A student taps the large blue letter changing the beginning of the word, then reads the new word to the class. The class repeats. The student then decides if the word is a real word or a nonsense word and writes it in the appropriate box. The teacher can then drag the word up into the top of the box.

Social Studies-
Students will go through a test review that asks them the importance of rules. Tough words like authority and consequence are shown in picture form that is applicable to them. The student can move the checkmark over to the correct answer to practice answering test questions and hearing the vocabulary.

Language Arts-
Students practice asking questions and using question words. The screen shows a picture of a person around town (teacher, cashier, custodian, or bus driver). Next to the picture is a list of question words (Who, what, where, when, why, how). Students think of a question they could ask the person on the screen that starts with one of the question words. When they ask a correct question they make come erase the word they used. When all words are used the next picture is shown and the words replaced.
